Are you looking for the perfect fish for your aquarium? The World of Wet Pets offers the largest selection of marine and freshwater fish in the Portland area. From community to pond to predatory, we have fish for every enthusiast. Everyone loves to see the varieties of fish, from the majestic Angelfish to the bright Cardinal Tetras to the industrious Plecos. We carry a mixture of farm-raised, wild-caught, and locally-bred fish.

In our saltwater section you will find many of your favorites including clownfish, tangs, angels and wrasses. We also carry a wide variety of “clean up crew” fish and invertebrates for your algae control needs. Our saltwater fish are MAC certified.

As your aquatic specialists, our friendly and knowledgeable staff is here to help you with any aquatic problems you may have. We provide the in-depth information and experienced service you won’t find online or at the big-box retailers.

Fish Shipment Days

Freshwater fish shipments arrive on most Monday and Thursday evenings. Saltwater fish arrive every other Thursday. Shipment days are subject to change.

Important Information

Donation & Trade Ins

The World of Wet Pets can accept most donated fish if arrangements are made prior to them arriving at the store. We may reject certain species or any dyed, tattooed, unhealthy or deformed fish.

Fish Compatibility

The World of Wet Pets does not guarantee fish compatibility of fresh or saltwater fish. Due to the unpredictable nature of aquarium fish, we can only give our customers recommendations. It is the customer’s responsibility to confirm the compatibility of new fish and the environment they are placed in.

Quarantined Fish

Fish that are in quarantine will not be for sale. You can identify a quarantine tank by a yellow dot in the upper left-hand corner. If you wish to go against our recommendation and still purchase the fish, we will not offer a warranty. Fish in a quarantined tank cannot be placed on hold. We can take your phone number and notify you once the fish is healthy and for sale.

24 Hour Limited Warranty

Freshwater fish are guaranteed for 24 hours from their original purchase date. Saltwater fish may be replaced at half price within 24 hours of their original purchase date. The original sales receipt, the subject animal, and a separate sample of water from the aquarium are required for any warranty issues. Warranty is based on a good water sample; poor water chemistry voids the warranty. We do not cover warranty issues due to fish aggression. Due to the sensitive nature of Corals, Invertebrates, Arowanas, Discus, Stingrays and Roseline Sharks, The World of Wet Pets offers no warranty on their purchase.
